The application to part demolish and regenerate the Carlton and Granville Centers has now gone into the Planning Permission stage at Brent Council.

Rumi’s Cave which is based in the Carlton Center is a community, grassroots initiative based in the heart of South Kilburn which has been supporting the needs of local residents and the wider community since 2011. Rumi’s Cave is a self sufficient charity, which has never used or applied for bursaries/grants from the Council. This makes it completely free from using tax-payers money. Our projects are volunteer led and are funded through events and private donations.

Due to major funding cuts in the third sector, organisations like ours are picking up the weight of the community's needs. We are passionate about supporting people and have stepped in where local government have failed to see the decline of the mental, social and economic status of South Kilburn residents.

To see what you can do to prevent this please go to our Get Involved page from the menu at the top.
